Lena - Irish Name - Fine Art Print

Lena - from the Greek Helénē, meaning torch or shining light - a name that crossed Europe and arrived in Ireland as Léan, shedding syllables on the journey like a traveller lightening her pack. Lena is the short form that remains: two syllables, clean as candlelight. Helen of Troy gave the name its first fame, and every Helena and Magdalena since has carried some echo of that brightness. In Ireland the name settled easily, needing no translation and no apology - it moves between languages without friction, belonging everywhere it lands. The full story of Lena - its meaning, history, and place in Ireland - is set down in the print.
