Mayo Calligraphy — Terms of Service

These terms apply to all orders and commissions placed with Mayo Calligraphy (operated by Maggi Geraghty, Cartronbower, Ballintubber, Co. Mayo, F12 Y2R0, Ireland).

 

Orders & Commissions

 

All pieces are made to order and personalised to your specification. A free, no-obligation consultation is included with every commission. A detailed design proof will be prepared and shared with you before any final piece is produced.

 

Work on the final piece does not begin until you have given written approval of the design. Your written approval (by email or WhatsApp) constitutes your acceptance of the final design and confirms that no further changes can be requested without additional charge.

 

Pricing & Payment

 

Quoted prices are confirmed in writing before work begins. For standard per-word pricing, please refer to our FAQ page. A minimum fee of €20 applies to all orders.

 

For hand-inked commissions on goatskin parchment, a 50% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining balance is due on completion and before delivery or collection.

 

For all other orders, payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Intellectual Property

 

All original calligraphy artwork created by Mayo Calligraphy remains the intellectual property of Maggi Geraghty. You are purchasing a physical or digital piece for personal use. Artwork may not be reproduced, resold or used commercially without prior written consent.

 

Digital products purchased as instant downloads are licensed for personal use only.

 

Delivery

 

Physical pieces are carefully packaged and posted throughout Ireland and internationally. Postage costs are confirmed at the time of ordering. Mayo Calligraphy takes every care in packaging but cannot be held responsible for delays or damage caused by postal carriers once an item has been dispatched.

 

Digital products are delivered by email or download link and are available immediately upon payment and approval.

 

Limitation of Liability

 

Mayo Calligraphy's liability is limited to the value of the order placed. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

 

Governing Law

 

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
