Frankie - Irish Name - Fine Art Print

Frankie - the name Francis or Frances in its dancing shoes - a pet form the English-speaking world has loved for a century, given to sons and daughters alike, because some names are simply too warm to stay formal. Ireland's finest Frankie plays the fiddle: Frankie Gavin of Corrandulla in County Galway, who co-founded De Dannan in 1974 and in 2010 went into the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest fiddle player in the world - and the name itself has that same quickness in it, all grace notes and good company. A Frankie is the first one asked to the session and the last one to leave it. The full story of Frankie - its meaning, history, and place in Ireland - is set down in the print.
