Cormac James - Irish Name - Fine Art Print

Cormac James - from the Old Irish Cormac, a king's name whose root the scholars trace to corb and mac - son of the chariot, perhaps, a name built for going forward - joined to James, from the Hebrew Ya'akov, the supplanter, the lad who would not settle for second place. Cormac mac Airt is the most storied of the legendary high kings, ruling at Tara in the third century in the days of Fionn mac Cumhaill, remembered above all for judgment - the king whose rulings were so just the land itself was said to prosper under them. The full story of Cormac James - its meaning, history, and place in Ireland - is set down in the print.
