I am often asked to hand draw a special poem or the lyrics of a song that has been composed for a special occasion. Sometimes the client will require a photo mount, where the words are displayed on one side of a frame and the photo is on the other. This is suitable for poems and readings that commemorate a life well lived, and can be a precious reminder of those who have gone before us.

I have also used this technique for wedding song lyrics. The happy couple usually pick a special song with meaningful lyrics for their first dance, and it is a personal and unique gift to give them a calligraphy print of these words, with a photo from the wedding evening included.

All of these pieces are designed and executed in consultation with the client, and are all ‘one off’ and individual works of art.
